(Photo Heavy) First update...

...for A Daily Inspiration!

It's rather nervous to see your first DT-project go live.
Now, I'm happy with it. I got these FAB papers and embellies that just begged to be turned into a mini album...
There'll be more updates by me on A Daily Inspiration pretty soon. I'm working on a few more projects, and some are already done.
Meanwhile - check that blog often because the other gals? In one word: WOW!!
(I've linked to them all in the right column, so why don't you pop by their blogs for some serious eye candy?)

I've pre-made this album for someone I don't even know. It's gonna travel down to South Africa and pause at an orphanage, before it'll be assigned to one of the girls there - and follow her when she gets adopted. I have no idea where it'll end up, so I've written texts and titles in English.

To read more about the album, see some other photos, and learn how it was made - just go to this post and...
I hope you'll enjoy!

If you look up "irresistible"...

...in a ditionary, the illustration will probably look like this:

This is the Nook's new summer kit. Yummy, isn't it?!
Since I've already ordered & made sure I'll get my kit, I can now tell you about it... ;)
It's limited edition so... no time to waste!
Shop, shop!
(Pun intended... :P)

It's sold out!
:D

My knight...

...in shining armour.

That's M.
Especially today.
He got into what could have turned into a huge fight with one of his "roomies" (he's living in a dorm, sort of) who apparantly has either too much testosterone or just a bad temper... M asked him politely to mop up next time he's taken a shower, but added "I've done it now, though" (because he's just too nice. Seriously! He's already sanitized the entire bathroom once after someone drank too much and passed out in there after displaying some VERY impressive upchuck reflexes...) and the guy literally attacked him... Started showing him and yelling and accusing him of being a racist. Que?

Luckily, my husband is cool as a cucumber in situations like that (he's been working actively against violence, patroling the streets and such, for MANY years and have had way worse that that) but it still bugs me.

I just don't like people being mean to the person I love most in the world.

Anyhow.
Over at the Nook, Becky found this fab PencilLines sketch by Åsa, and some of us decided to go ahead and interpret it.
Here's my version.
Almost all of it is Crate paper.

Gotta adore them! :)

An LO...

...in what Stacey claims is my very own invented style.

It's not C&S.
But it's definitely "C&S'er" than my usual work.
I decided to call it (the style) C&Z. Clean and Zarah'esque! ;)

All of the papers are from Dream Street Papers. I really like them! They're easy to work with and make everything look fresh and cool. Like an ice-sicle!
:D

Yesterday...

...was my REAL birthday!

(As opposed to that day, recently, when we celebrated it - you know...!)

Since you know, my DH isn't home, I spent the first hours of the day alone, pampering myself. Pilates, facial mask, coffee, hair dye - the lots.
While I was standing there with my head full of dye, the door bell rang. Oh no - not the best timing. Well, I opened, and there was a poor Delivery guy who stared confusedly at my strange hair do, and then gave me a slip to sign. It was a HUMONGOUS package from SBM/SBOO with my DT-stuff and then some. Oh no quickly turned into OH YAY!

After that, my dad came for coffee and in the middle of a discussion, the door bell rang. Flowers. For me - from my dear friend Sara who really knows what I like!
Thank you, hun!

When we ran out of coffee, I picked up my mail (lots of adorable b-day cards!) and then I headed off to pick up a package of clothes at the Post Office, and the we went for a road trip to check out this house that my dad is sort of interested in.
It was lovely and the surroundings are pure Eden!
Even if I still think my childhood home is WAY better and that selling it is a bad idea. Especially now, when we're not able to buy it... ;)

When I came home, another flower package was waiting at my door. It was from DH and I wept a little and then laughed at his humour, after reading the card and admiring the cute teddy...

So - what am I trying to say here?
Basically two things:
1. THANKS for all the well wishes and all the congrats you sent my way
and
2. aren't the flowers M sent me just woooonderful?!

Love/
the 30-yearold

A fairytale...

...too good to be true.

My darling Bella...
As I might have told you all before, my cat Bella has this long story that started about 11 months before we even met. She dealt with her runaway mother giving birth to the entire litter out in the woods, due to an overly crowded (and I mean CROWDED) place with waaaay too many cats, mean people, a shelter called Kattkommando Syd and onwards to my home.

The first time I saw her, she was just this skinny ball of ragged furr and scared eyes, who hissed as soon as she laid eyes on me.
For some reason, I fell in love.
Deeply, madly and instantly.

Three weeks later, she dared come out of her hiding (under my bath tub) and she almost tolerated me (as long as I kept my hands and feet where they weren't visible. I spent a LOT of days sitting perfectly still on the floor with my hands and feet tucked into my clothes, back then...) but it took several weeks more before I could touch her without risk of having my limbs clawed off...

And now?
She's the most secure, cuddly, silky haired, chubby little sweetheart - so sure of her safety that she loves to sleep belly up in the middle of the floor, and she never shows her claws unless... well... someone's deserved it! ;)

I still claim with confidence, that she is the one thing I have succeeded most with, in my life.
To make that scared little cat turn into who she is today - THAT warms my heart!

Almost like "A fairytale, too good to be true!"
(Part of the lyrics from a Swedish song by Lisa Ekdahl.)

I made this LO for OLW but I'm not sure they'll accept is since it's not in English.
We'll see.
:)

If you happened to get OLD updates from me...

...and I mean like REALLY old.

The kind that was written during the times when Jesus still wore knickers, and the dinosaurs chased the dront into eternity...
In that case, I'm sorry.

Just updated a few things on my blog.

I'll pay for it by showing you a card that hasn't been shown here (although it's been shown here) before.
;)

The world's finest...

..is this woman.

My soul sister, my best friend.
The woman who's saved my behind as well as my head on more than one occasion, and who understands me like no one else.
I love you, my friend!

... of me, patting my own back, yet?!

I hope not, cause I reeeeally want to boast just a liiiittle bit more...
Look at this. Its meee!...
And my darling M.

(I know I misspelled it. I really should be keyboard banned until I learn how to type more correctly than quickly!...)

Brand new LO just for this special moment, too!
I've (as you might notice) used the Nook kit mixed with some more Shabby Chic Crafts' journalingspots.
Me likey!
